I use the Saitek X52 Pro HOTAS which has detents for tactile feedback in the first and second third of the throttle lever and that worked perfectly in X2 The Threat where the axis reversed exactly on the first one so that I could easily feel when my ship is standing still without even looking at the throttle bar.
I hate to suggest another feature from Elite to be added to X4, but it's currently uncomfortably difficult to bring a ship to halt in Rebirth (and X3) when using a joystick with a throttle slider that has no tactile feedback exactly in the middle of the axis, and I think it would be much more controlable if there was an option to make the entire axis work in only forward direction, with a toggle / hold button to reverse it, as in Elite: Dangerous.
